Zwedru, Grand Gedeh – October 4, 2025-Serious allegations have been leveled against the Grand Gedeh County Attorney, Cllr. Wiknis Nah, accusing him of manipulating a legal case involving a Chinese national who allegedly stabbed a Liberian man.

The victim, Mr. Arthur Yalatie, a laborer at the Chinese-Liberian joint venture Liberia Ever Prosperous company, claims a Chinese colleague stabbed him in the right arm a few weeks ago while he was on duty.

Yalatie told reporters that after reporting the incident, Attorney Nah initially promised him the case would be handled professionally. However, the victim now alleges a complete reversal by the County Attorney, claiming Nah has since refused to give him further attention and has even resorted to threatening him with arrest.

Adding to his concerns, Yalatie claims to have seen Attorney Nah at the company’s compound in the Kuda Bypass community over the past weekend, accompanied by the firm’s management. Furthermore, Yalatie alleges that information from his colleagues suggests the County Attorney may have received a bribe to downplay the severity of the case.

“The attorney I trusted to ensure justice is now deviating from the rightful path,” Yalatie lamented, noting the significant personal expenses have been incurred while trying to seek redress.

Yalatie has vowed to escalate the matter to the national level in Monrovia in his pursuit of fair judgment and justice.

Meanwhile, all efforts deployed by this reporter to ascertain County Attorney, Cllr. Nah’s side of the story proved futile up to press time.
