Monrovia, Liberia-October 11, 2025-The National Port Authority (NPA), through its Human Resources Department, has officially launched a two-week employee orientation program for all staff across its various departments.

The initiative, led by Madam Vashti H. Sirleaf, Executive Director of Human Resources, aims to expose employees to the Authority’s culture, policies, and strategic direction, while reinforcing the core values of professionalism, transparency, and adherence to the Decent Work Act of 2015.

In her opening remarks, Madam Sirleaf emphasized that the orientation is designed to equip employees with the knowledge, discipline, and confidence needed to perform effectively and contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the NPA.

Mrs. Sirleaf further urged participants to engage actively, ask questions, and take advantage of the learning opportunities provided throughout the sessions. “I encourage everyone to take this training program seriously, as it provides a clear understanding of our mission, vision, and core values” Madam Sirleaf stated.

The two-week orientation will feature sessions on NPA’s organizational structure, employee code of conduct, workplace ethics, safety protocols, the role of Public Relations and its strategic goals. It forms part of a broader Human Resources initiative aimed at strengthening institutional capacity and improving employee performance across the four ports.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Executive Director for Property and Environmental Department, Matthew S. Snowe, the Executive Director of Public Relations Pewee Baysah as facilitator, the Head of Corporate Services/Records and Archives, Boimah R. Darkenah, amongst others.
