MONROVIA, LIBERIA |January 9, 2026| The Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) has reiterated its dedication to safeguarding the interests of consumers in the telecommunications sector.

In a bid to ensure that citizens’ concerns are addressed promptly and fairly, the LTA has urged subscribers to utilize its Help Desk service by dialing 2244.

This initiative is part of the LTA’s ongoing efforts to provide a platform where consumers can report complaints and seek resolutions regarding telecom-related issues.

The Help Desk is designed to offer quick and effective solutions, promoting a culture of accountability and transparency within the industry.

“LTA remains steadfast in its mission to protect consumers and ensure that telecom operators adhere to regulatory standards,” said a statement posted on the LTA official Facebook page Tuesday in Monrovia. “We encourage all Liberians to take advantage of this service and report any issues they encounter.”

The LTA’s commitment to consumer protection is a welcome development, particularly in an era where telecommunications play a vital role in daily life.

By providing a straightforward and accessible complaints mechanism, the authority aims to enhance consumer trust and confidence in the sector.

The LTA’s Help Desk is available to all Liberians, and the authority encourages citizens to take an active role in reporting any telecom-related concerns. By dialing 2244, consumers can expect a prompt and fair resolution to their issues.

This groundbreaking law aims to address issues like poor service quality, unfair billing, and lack of transparency.

The CPR will take full effect in 60 days and applies to all telecom service providers. LTA Commissioner Patrick Honnah emphasized that the regulations focus on empowering consumers and tackling deceptive practices.
