Bargblor Town, Grand Gedeh County |Feb. 8, 2026| The Grand Gedeh County Health Team, acting on behalf of the Ministry of Health, has formally turned over the newly constructed Bargblor Town Clinic to local authorities and the community.
The facility is expected to serve as a critical hub for primary healthcare, significantly reducing travel distances for patients seeking essential medical attention.
The project was realized through a collaborative international effort:
Implementing Partner: Welthungerhilfe (WHH) funded by The Federal Republic of Germany with the objective to expand the footprint of primary healthcare services in underserved regions of Grand Gedeh County.
During the handover ceremony, which saw a large turnout of county officials, health practitioners, and traditional leaders, speakers emphasized the importance of local ownership.
The Ministry of Health noted that the facility is not just a building, but a commitment to improving long-term health outcomes and maternal care in the region.
”This facility marks a significant milestone in our mission to decentralize health services. We urge the community to take full charge of its management to ensure sustainability for future generations.”
