Monaco | March 12, 2026 |On Wednesday, March 11, 2026 Ambassador Teeko Tozay Yorlay, Sr., had the pleasure of meeting with Mr. Guy Antognelli, Director of the Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Authority, for a productive exchange on how Liberia can further advance its tourism ambitions and strengthen international partnerships.
“Our discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation between Liberia and the Principality of Monaco, particularly in the areas of sustainable tourism development, knowledge exchange, and capacity building,” a release from the Embassy near Paris stated.
Liberia is fully committed to developing a vibrant and sustainable tourism sector under the Government’s ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development. With our rich biodiversity, pristine coastline, and unique cultural heritage, Liberia has strong foundations to position itself as an emerging tourism destination in West Africa.
Monaco’s remarkable success as a world-class tourism destination—recognized as Best European Destination 2025—offers valuable lessons in destination branding, connectivity, and the development of a highly skilled tourism workforce. Liberia looks forward to exploring practical avenues for collaboration between the Liberia National Tourism Authority (LNTA) and Monaco’s Tourism and Convention Authority to support the growth of Liberia’s tourism sector.
“I appreciate Mr. Antognelli’s openness to strengthening cooperation and facilitating connections with key tourism stakeholders. Partnerships such as these are essential as Liberia continues to expand its global engagement and build a competitive, sustainable tourism industry”.
