Grand Kru County, Liberia |March 26, 2026| The Government of Liberia is taking decisive steps to improve education and student welfare in Grand Kru County through its school feeding initiative, implemented in partnership with the Grand Kru County School System.
The program, designed to address both nutrition and learning challenges, ensures that students receive daily meals that enhance concentration, stamina, and overall academic performance.
By targeting schools where support is most needed, the initiative directly impacts students’ ability to engage fully in their education.
Key beneficiaries include George Toe Washington Elementary School and Thomas K. F. Seedee Elementary School, where school authorities actively coordinate the program, ensuring that the government’s resources reach students efficiently.
Officials say the initiative reflects a broader government strategy to reduce barriers to education, strengthen school-community collaboration, and empower students to thrive academically. Students themselves report that the meals provide the energy and focus needed to participate actively in classroom activities.
By prioritizing student welfare, the Government of Liberia is sending a strong message: investing in children today is an investment in the future prosperity and development of Grand Kru County.
