Gbamzuluma Town, Salayea District |April 13, 2026 |Residents of Gbamzuluma Town in Salayea Administrative District, Lofa County, have expressed heartfelt appreciation following a cash donation and renewed commitment from Lofa County Senator Momo T. Cyrus toward their community school project.

Receiving $25,000 Liberian dollars on behalf of the town, community leaders described the contribution as timely support that will strengthen ongoing efforts to sustain their newly established elementary school. The school, constructed through the senator’s earlier intervention, has significantly improved access to education for children who previously traveled long distances to attend classes.

According to the community, an earlier donation of 1,000 United States dollars from Senator Cyrus played a crucial role in addressing key challenges during the school’s development phase. They noted that the presence of the school within the town has already begun transforming the lives of local children by bringing education closer to home.

A goat and gallon of fresh palm wine were given to Send. Momo Cyrus as a token of appreciation.

The residents further welcomed the senator’s additional pledge of 50,000 Liberian dollars intended to support volunteer teachers currently serving at the institution. Community leaders emphasized that the incentive will help motivate the teachers, who continue to provide essential services despite limited government support.

Speaking on behalf of the citizens, local leaders praised Senator Cyrus for what they described as his consistent commitment to rural development and education in the district. They called on other stakeholders and national authorities to follow suit by providing further assistance to ensure the school’s sustainability.

In recognition of the senator’s contributions, the people of Gbamzuluma presented him with a goat and one gallon of palm wine as symbols of their gratitude and appreciation.

The community remains hopeful that continued support from both local leaders and the national government will help strengthen the school and secure a brighter future for their children.
