Monrovia, Liberia |April 18, 2026|The application process for the government’s highly anticipated Content Creator Training Program officially opened Tuesday, with a steady stream of applicants turning out to secure one of the 150 slots allotted for the in-house training.
The program, spearheaded by the Ministry of Information (MOI), is part of a national initiative to build digital skills and empower Liberian creators to produce professional, marketable content.
Day One of the application process saw a few folks arriving early to begin registration, according to officials at the Ministry.
With only 150 spaces available for the in-house phase, competition is expected to be keen.
Assistant Minister for New Media and Branding at the Ministry of Information Mai Louise N. Hill, was on hand to oversee the process and encouraged interested applicants not to delay.
“We are calling on all eligible content creators to come in as soon as possible,” Minister Hill said. “This is an opportunity to build your craft, gain professional training, and justify your inclusion in a program designed to elevate Liberia’s digital voice.”
The in-house training will focus on practical skills in digital storytelling, videography, photography, social media strategy, and monetization of creative content.
The Ministry says the goal is to equip participants to compete locally and internationally while promoting positive narratives about Liberia.
While the Ministry did not release a deadline for applications, Minister Hill’s remarks signal that slots will be filled on a rolling basis. Early applicants stand the best chance of securing a place before the 150-person cap is reached.
Prospective participants are being asked to appear in person to complete the application process. The Ministry has not yet published a list of required documents, but applicants are advised to come prepared to demonstrate their interest and current work in content creation.
The Ministry is expected to release further details on training dates, venue, and curriculum once the application phase closes. Officials say additional updates will be provided as the process advances.
For now, the message from MICAT is clear “Spaces are limited, and interested creators should act quickly.”
