Barclayville City, Grand Kru County |April 20, 2026 | A newly commissioned drug depot in Grand Kru County is being described as a significant milestone in strengthening the county’s health logistics and service delivery system.

The Ministry of Health dedicated the facility to improve the storage and distribution of essential medicines, with the aim of ensuring that health facilities across the county receive timely and adequate medical supplies.
Grand Kru is structured into five health districts—Barclayville, Trehn, Forpoh, Sasstown, and Buah—serving a total of 24 health facilities, including one hospital, four health centers, and 19 clinics.
Health officials note that the depot will reduce supply chain delays and improve coordination as well as effectiveness among facilities at the community level.
The project was sponsored by the Global Fund, with implementation support from Plan International.
