Lofa County, Voinjama City – December 10, 2024-The Earth Environmental Consultancy (EEC INC.) is in Lofa County to conduct a survey and design the Voinjama to Mendikorma Road corridor. Under the project titled “ESI/ESMP/RAP” the Earth Environmental Consultancy (INC) was contacted to do a consultation with citizens between Voinjama City and Mendikorma this dry season.

According to the team leader Mr. Mulbah Nuppolu, the consultancy with stakeholders started in Voinjama City on Monday December 9, 2024 and will continue to Major Towns and Villages along the road leading to Mendikorma in the Gbany Chiefdom of Lofa County. The Stakeholders consultation is intended to explain to citizens about their roles and what citizens should expect during this process.

Mulbah Nuppolu told News men that the Earth Environmental Consultancy (INC) will be focused on identifying Houses who will be affected during the Voinjama to Mendikorma Road Corridor in 2025, and their Benefits.

“We are not building Roads, our work is to tell the people about Houses that will be affected during the road project, tell them their benefits if a House is affected and mark those Houses to be removed,” he stated in a Stakeholders meeting in Voinjama City.

The Voinjama to Mendikorma Road Corridor project is jointly funded by the World Bank, KFAED, and BADEA, among other lenders.

The Consultancy started in Voinjama City on Monday, December 9, 2024 and will continue up to 2025 before the Company responsible for work starts in 2025.

Also speaking during the stakeholders meeting in Voinjama City, Mr. Moses Saah encouraged community members to cooperate with the team during the marking of Houses in the Voinjama to Mendikorma corridor.
