Lofa County, Voinjama City-December 16, 2024-Voinjama Central market was eventually parked on Friday with more sellers than buyers.
According to some of the marketers who spoke on the local radio station, this festive season is full of more sellers than buyers. “We are plenty in the market, but da so so sellers, we na even seeing buyers in the market” Kebeh Forkpa a popular Gobachov business woman said in an interview.
Another well-known business man in Voinjama City, Mose Johnway told newsmen that “All is not well this season, no buyers at all.”
On the other hand, buyers in the County are also complaining about the dropped in the US rate while the prices of commodities are still high.
“We are confused, the US Rate is dropping, but the price of goods and other local commodities are still high on the market.” Prince Tarnue, student from the Lofa County University, reading Business said in an interview.
Currently, the US Rate in Lofa County is between 170.00 LD to 175.00LD to $1:00 United States Dollars.
Petty traders are finding it difficult to get or see Liberian Dollars on the market as money exchangers continue to complain about the lack of Liberty or Liberian Dollars.
