Grand Bassa County, Buchanan City –Saturday, February 22, 2025- In a significant step toward improving infrastructure in Grand Bassa District #2, Representative Clarence Banks officially launched the pavement of roads in his district.
The groundbreaking ceremony took place on Friday, February 21, 2025 for the highly anticipated Coco Farm community to Zorgar Town Road project, marking the beginning of a development initiative aimed at enhancing transportation and boosting local economic activity.
Speaking at the event, Representative Banks highlighted the importance of accessible roads for community growth, stating, “This project is not just about paving roads; it’s about connecting people, improving trade, and creating opportunities for our citizens.”
The road project is expected to ease travel between communities, improve access to essential services, and promote local business by making it easier for farmers and traders to transport their goods.
Residents expressed optimism about the development, with many praising Representative Banks for prioritizing infrastructure. Local leaders also emphasized that the improved road conditions will enhance access to healthcare, education, and markets.
The project marks a major milestone in Representative Banks’ quest and commitment to addressing long-standing infrastructure challenges in District #2. Construction has commenced immediately, with local contractors and workers involved in the initiative to promote job creation within the district.
In another development, Hon. Banks revealed plans to make available eight (8) boats for a river that is connecting district #2 to electoral district #4, to provide easy access for residents of the both districts.
Rep. Banks has earned recognition as a leading developmental figure in Grand Bassa, emphasizing his commitment to improving the lives of his constituents through practical solutions and infrastructural advancements.
He mentioned that about 42 thousand united Dollars will be used to carry on the construction work of the road which will connect district two and district three if completed.
