River Gee County, Fish-Town – February 24, 2025 – The 15th Judicial Circuit Court of River Gee County has handed downed a guilty verdict to a 35-year old defendant, KC Hope Ezechuku, to seven years in prison.

The Nigerian national guilty verdict was handed down on Monday, February 24, 2025 by his Honor, Judge, Wesseh Adolphus Wesseh due to Ezechuku engagement in an illegal drug trade in River Gee which led to the seizure of a significant quantity of 36 grams of heroin, with an estimated street value of $4,500.00USD.

During his trial, Ezechuku admitted to the charge and pleaded guilty to the possession of heroin, which led to his seven years jailed sentence.

He was tracked downed in late November 2024 during the LDEA River Gee detachment normal patrol in Tarpoline village, a gold mining camp and a place believed to be high risk for drug trafficking.

Ezechuku was sent to the National Palace of Correction outside Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County where he will serve his seven years jailed term.

However, KC Hope Ezechuku is not the first defendant, sentenced for illegal drug seizure case in River Gee County.
