    Corina Hotel, Monrovia City-Saturday, April 19, 2025-Paul Kanneh, founder and chief executive officer of the Liberia Forest Media Watch LFMW has called on Forest reporters to be mindful and report nothing but the true happenings taking place in the forest and natural resource sector.

    Speaking at the close of a two day training workshop for rural journalists in Forest Reporting said, journalists in rural Liberia should report factual, creditable news while suggesting solutions to their respective stories in both print and broadcast news articles.

    Team leader Kanneh cautioned journalists particularly in the rural communities to focus on environmental, impactful and solution-driven Journalism.

    More than 10 journalists from across the country of Rural Liberia participated in a two-day training for Rural journalists in Forest Reporting.

    Rural journalists who participated in the workshop are expected to use the lessons learned to report about the forest, environment and other news worthy happenings in their localities.

    Several presenters including the PUL President, Julius Kanubah, Titus Tokpa, founder and CEO of the Peter Quaqua School of Journalism, and D. Kaihenneh Sengbeh, a lecturer at the University of Liberia and media executive also spoke at the training.

    They all urged journalists especially in the area of Forest Reporting to be factual, investigative, true telling, impacting and keep practicing Solution Journalism in the country.

    The training was supported by the (EU-FLEGT VPA PROGRAME) with other partners.

    The two day training started on Thursday, April 17 and ended on April 18, 2025 at the Corina Hotel in Sinkor, Monrovia.

    Meanwhile, participants from the different counties appreciated the team for the training and promised to apply the lessons-learned to reporting henceforth.
