Tappita, Lower Nimba – Friday, June 13, 2025 – The Jackson F. Doe Memorial, Regional and Referral Hospital has achieved a notable milestone in the health sector of Nimba by receiving two prestigious 2024 Performance Excellence Awards that recognize its outstanding contributions to public service and organizational effectiveness.
President Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr., presented these awards during a formal ceremony at the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs – Cabinet Office.
The accolades are part of the government’s 2024 Performance Management and Compliance System (PMCS) initiative aimed at fostering excellence, transparency, and accountability among public institutions.
Dr. Victor Kaizer, the Chief Executive Officer of the hospital, accepted the awards on behalf of the institution, which has been pivotal in enhancing healthcare delivery services in northeastern Liberia.
The first award highlighted the hospital’s “exceptional dedication to service delivery, accountability, and achievement of performance goals,” reinforcing its significant role in promoting excellence within the public sector across Liberia.
The second award recognized the hospital as the second-highest performing public institution in the nation, praising its leadership in public service and governance and designating it as a “national standard for excellence.”
Dr. Kaizer expressed his appreciation to the President and the Cabinet Office for the recognition and dedicated the awards to the dedicated doctors, nurses, and staff who have “worked tirelessly to improve lives throughout the country.”
These awards symbolize the ongoing efforts of the Boakai administration to encourage strong institutional performance and to restore public trust in government services.
