Monrovia, Liberia —Saturday, June 14, 2025 — In a bold and inspiring announcement, Sinoe County Senator Crayton Oldman Duncan has officially launched “Our Movement”, a grassroots initiative focused on mobilizing citizens toward economic transformation and wealth creation in Liberia.

Appearing on Kear Radio on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, and in previous engagements on several local stations, Senator Duncan outlined a vision of a prosperous Liberia fueled by citizens’ empowerment and local resource control.

“The vast natural wealth of Liberia must benefit Liberians first,” Duncan declared. “It is time for us to take charge of our own destiny.”

He stressed that sustainable economic growth depends on managing the nation’s resources with the people’s interest at heart. “When we put our citizens at the center of resource management, we create jobs, grow our economy, and build a better Liberia,” he said.

While acknowledging the many challenges Liberia has faced from economic instability to deep-rooted inequalities, Senator Duncan urged a shift in national mindset. “This is not the time to dwell on the failures of the past,” he emphasized. “We must now focus on solutions. We must ask: how can we get it right?”

“Our Movement” is built on the belief that Liberia’s path to economic revival lies in local investment, community empowerment, and equitable resource distribution. According to the Sinoe lawmaker, ensuring that Liberians directly benefit from their country’s wealth is not just economic justice — it is the foundation for national development.

“When our resources truly serve our people,” he said, “we’ll see real growth — from the ground up. Infrastructure will be built, meaningful jobs will be created, and young people will be empowered. That is the engine of real development.”

“We already have what we need to succeed right here in Liberia,” he added. “Now is the time to invest in our people, our skills, and our future. Together, we can build an economy that works for every Liberian.”

As part of the movement’s launch, Senator Duncan announced a series of community outreach events across Liberia’s counties. These initiatives aim to engage citizens directly, gather input on local challenges, and encourage greater public participation in national development.

The launch of “Our Movement” reflects Senator Duncan’s growing efforts to extend his impact beyond the Senate floor and build a people-driven platform grounded in economic patriotism, local ownership, and self-reliance.

Supporters across the country have welcomed the initiative with enthusiasm.

“This is the kind of leadership we’ve been waiting for,” said Marcus Marshall, a civil society advocate. “We’re ready for change, and we believe Our Movement offers real hope and opportunity.”

With “Our Movement”, Senator Crayton Oldman Duncan has issued a call to action: for all Liberians to unite, take control of their economic future, and build a nation that thrives from within.
