    Grand Gedeh County: FISU Donates 50 sacks of water to patients At Martha Tubman Memorial Hospital

    Zwedru, Grand Gedeh-Sunday, June 15, 2025- In a commendable act of kindness, members of the Liberia Fula Intellectual Students Union have donated 50 sacks of mineral water to the Martha Tubman Memorial Hospital.

    The initiative emerged from a pressing need identified by the students, who observed that patients at the hospital often lack access to basic necessities.

    Habibu Barry, the executive director of the Liberia Fula Intellectual Students Union, shared the motivation behind this donation.

    Some officials and members of FISU, Grand Gedeh.

     He said the organization was established in 2020 to unify Fula students in Grand Gedeh.

    He emphasized the importance of supporting one another and recognized significant needs at the hospital.

    The impact of the donation was acknowledged by hospital staff. Mrs. Josephine Siaffa Geea, the accountant of Martha Tubman Memorial Hospital, who expressed gratitude to the students for their thoughtful contribution.

    Thomas Q. Neewray, the administrator of Martha Tubman Memorial Hospital, also voiced his appreciation. “This donation is incredibly essential,” he said.

     “There are patients in our care without family support who cannot afford even the smallest expenses. Providing them with water is a blessing, and we assure you that it will be used for internal purposes.”

    The donation serves as a reminder of the power of community and the positive impact young people can have when they come together to support those in need. It highlights the Fula students’ commitment to their community and their determination to uplift others in challenging times.
