Palmlow, Grand Gedeh-Tuesday, June 17, 2025-Representative Marie Johnson of Grand Gedeh Electoral District 2 and Senator Thomas Yaya Nimely have donated 40 bundles of high-quality zinc to victims of the recent storm disaster in Palmlow, Putu Administrative District.

It can be recalled in March of this year, a heavy storm destroyed many homes in Putu District which led to a lot of people being homeless since the occurrence of the incident.

Residents of Palmlow gathered to express thanks and appreciation to their lawmakers for the worthy and timely donation.

During the zinc presentation, the Home Coordinator in the office of Representative Marie Johnson, Mr. Nathaniel Tarley Jr. said, Representative Marie G. Johnson had communicated with the National Disaster Management to intervene, but her communication never yielded a better result which led her to buying 20 bundles of 32g zinc in her own weak way as a means of identifying with the victims in their crucial time.

While the Home Coordinator in the office of Senator Thomas Yaya Nimely, Mr. Alex Shar who also presented 20 bundles of zinc to the Town advised the Palmlow Town’s leadership to share the zinc accordingly among the victims.

In response to the kind gestures of the two lawmakers, the citizens of Palmlow Town hailed Senator Thomas and Representative Johnson for their kind humanitarian gestures. The citizens described the lawmakers as caring committed leaders who are always in the vanguard to rescue their people.

The residents endlessly appreciated Hon. Marie Johnson for always showing care for the people of Putu.
