Small Henry Town, Gbarpolu—On July 26, 2025, during Liberia’s Independence Day celebration, the people of Small Henry Town officially opened a new Peace Hut.
This modern building was built by Gbarpolu Electoral District #1 representative, Zinnah Norman, to help promote peace and unity in the town. The ceremony was witnessed by residents of nearby towns and villages.
The Peace Hut is a special place for the community. It will be used as a center for peace, a meeting place, and an office for local leaders. Residents say it will help bring everyone together and make the town a better place.
District Coordinator Mustapha Nyei thanked the lawmaker, saying, “Thank you to the representative for this project. He has shown that he cares about our town and district.” Nyei also encouraged everyone to work together and support more projects to help their District grow.
Mr. James Toe, a member of the Lawmaker team, said, “This Peace Hut will help keep peace and serve as the official office for our local authorities.”
For his part, Junior Sackie, the Town Chief, also thanked the lawmaker and said the hut will help serve the needs of the community.
Mama Kollie, the Chairlady of Small Henry Town, thanked the representative and asked him to fix their broken hand pump, which is the only one they have.
Representative Zinnah Norman spoke at the event and thanked everyone for their support. He said that opening the Peace Hut is the start of fulfilling his promises to the district. He also called on his people to focus on development and work together to make their district, county, and Liberia better.
