River Gee County –Thursday, August 21, 2025-Districts 1 and 2 have welcomed series of projects focused on improving community infrastructure.

The projects were dedicated by Senator Jonathan Boycharles Sogbie of River Gee County.

The Senator did the inauguration of a new town hall and youth centers, alongside the groundbreaking for a commissioner compound designed to better serve local residents.

During the ceremonies, Sen. Sogbie officially opened a youth center in Keilipo Kanweaken and a modern town hall, as well as another youth center in Gbeapo Sweaken, situated in the Nyaniwilken administrative district of the respectively.

He at the same time initiated the construction of a commissioner compound in the Duwalaken clan of Gbeapo Dweaken, River Gee County.

Reports indicate ongoing road rehabilitation efforts in the Chedepo administrative district, spearheaded by the Senator.

Although the financial details of these infrastructure projects remain undisclosed, but their goal is to foster community engagement and provide essential services for the youth.

“These initiatives aim to empower our young people by creating spaces for them to gather, learn, and grow,” Sen. Sogbie noted.

According to the River Gee County Caucus Chairman, the establishment of the youth centers will offer various programs and activities tailored to the diverse interests and needs of local young people, while the town hall will act as a central venue for community meetings and events, promoting civic participation and collaboration among residents.

However, the commissioner compound is anticipated to improve administrative efficiency and accessibility, leading to more effective governance in the region.

Meanwhile, local residents have expressed their appreciation for the Senator’s efforts, highlighting the positive effects these projects will have on community unity and youth development.

These initiatives also seek to inspire local engagement and motivate the population to actively participate in the region’s progress.

The commissioning events were attended by local residents, county superintendent Milk Swengbe, former county superintendent Philip Q. Nyenuh, and other guests.

As River Gee County progresses, Senator Sogbie’s dedication to investing in the community’s future marks a significant step toward fostering a vibrant and interconnected environment for all.
