Voinjama City, Lofa County |March 19, 2026|This is the first time in more than a decade for the Inter School Sports Association to organize a grassroots U-15 School league in Lofa and Liberia at large for students under the ages of ( U-15) in Liberia.
In Lofa County, the tournament was amongst 16 private and public schools and they all were opportune to show case their respective talents cum skills on the field of play as far as the beautiful game of football was concerned.
Of the 16 participating schools in the tournament, two schools were qualified to reach the final.
The Answaru English and Arabic Public School football team played the Telgele Elementary school in the final stage of the tournament in Voinjama City.
Following the game of play, lasting more than the formal 90 minutes, the Answaru English and Arabic Public School defeated her counterpart with the score of 1 goal to 0 in favor of the Answaru English and Arabic Public School.
The league lasted for four (4) days in Voinjama city.
Winner of the tournament walked away with a cash price plus another opportunity to participate in the regional level of the competition.
The teams from the other regions will converge in Voinjama in order to partake in the regional stage of the tournament.
According to Mr. Anthony M. Krangar, one of the organizers of the tournament, the sporting competition was intended to encourage students and School Administrators in realizing and appreciating the importance of celebrating their respective high schools days.
