Lofa County, Zorzor District | Jan. 30, 2026 | After more than a year of silence on recognized football pitches, Lofa County is set to witness a major sporting revival as organized football activities officially resume in February 2026, bringing renewed excitement to players, fans, and communities across the county.
The Liberia Football Association’s National 3rd Division League will make a full return to Lofa, featuring 24 clubs drawn from different communities, all competing under their respective Sub-Committees for cash prizes and championship trophies. The development marks a significant step towards rebuilding grassroots football and restoring competitive sports at the county level.
Zorzor Set for Valentine’s Day Kickoff
In Zorzor Administrative District, the Zorzor Sub-Committee will host five clubs representing communities in and around Zorzor. The league is scheduled to officially kick-off on February 14, 2026, a date expected to draw large crowds as football lovers celebrate the return of competitive matches after a prolonged break.
