Gbarpolu Announces Winning Firms for 8 Projects

Bopolu City, Gbarpolu County-Thursday, October 9, 2025 — In a move to accelerate development, County Superintendent Sam K. Zinnah has disclosed the winning bidders for eight projects following the bids evaluation committee’s assessments.

The disclosure confirms 8 firms among 22 contenders as successful bidders, announced on October 8, 2025.

Work on the projects is expected to begin promptly, with preparations underway to sign contracts and commence field activities in the coming days.

Field Project: Gbarpolu County Sports Stadium

Approved budget to commence field project: USD 150,000

Winning bid: The Global Group of Companies — USD 279,768 ✓

For this particular project, other unsuccessful bidders were as indicated below:

1. United LOFA Group of Companies (UNICOM) — USD 290,221.45

2. Advance Construction Engineer — USD 173,343.10

3. George Group of Companies — USD 289,384.18

4. NEIAMA Engineering Company — USD 286,420.47

5. QUARDUS — USD 14,765,618,250

The field project, designated as the Gbarpolu County Sports Stadium, was won by The Global Group of Companies with a bid significantly higher than the approved starting budget of USD 150,000. Note that the local authorities say the additional will be approved in the 2026 fiscal budget by the County Council to meet the full amount as specified by winning project bid.

Superintendent Zinnah has also indicated that the documented bids, along with the evaluation committee’s report, have been sent to his office for finalization of contracts.

Fieldwork is slated to begin next week, with a timeline aimed at readiness for a December County Meet hosting target.

Next in line is the Gotoma Bridge Project – Approved 2025 Budget by County Council: USD 75,000

Winning bid: Homeland Construction Company — USD 123,209.28 ✓

Here, the other unsuccessful bidders were:

1. AECCL — USD 126,936.17

2. LICDRIC — USD 122,766.43

3. Pure Group of Companies — USD 120,337.61

4. DAPAT Construction Company — USD 84,111.86

5. Fanbulleh & Fanbulleh Construction Company — USD 74,500.05

6. Advance Construction Engineer — USD 90,680.84

The Gotoma Bridge project, located in Bopolu District, has an approved budget of USD 75,000, but the winning bid reported by the bids evaluation committee is USD 123,209.28 from Homeland Construction Company.

The committee’s findings have been shared with county authorities to proceed with signing and mobilization.

Context and Next Steps

The County Development Officer, Olu Onangbah Normanlee, confirmed that fieldwork for the sports stadium will commence next week as part of preparations to showcase the county’s readiness to host a county meet group stage in December.

Meanwhile, official notification and contract signing are anticipated in the near term to begin execution of the announced projects.
