    LTA Hosts Vibrant Consumer Conservation As Consumer Month Ends

    Monrovia, Liberia |March 29, 2026|The Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) brought together consumers, Board of Commissioners, and Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) for a lively “Consumer Conversation” at the Liberia Learning Center in Paynesville, Montserrado County, on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

    The event, part of LTA’S Consumer Month activities ending March 31, drew students, motorcyclists, and stakeholders, creating a platform for sharing experiences and addressing concerns.

    Participants voiced issues with service quality, the impact of three-day free call promotions, and data usage challenges.

    A key highlight was the call to expand Starlink kit distribution to private schools, emphasizing the need for broader digital access. “We need reliable internet access to enhance learning,” Students and School Administrators who attended the even pointed out.

    Attendees Listen attentively to varios speakers during the ceremony.

    The forum, attended by five high schools and diverse stakeholders, showcased LTA’s commitment to inclusive engagement and consumer-centered regulation. “We’re listening, and we’re committed to improving services,” said LTA Chairperson Clarence Massaquoi.

    The Consumer Conversation reinforced LTA’s dedication to addressing consumer concerns and promoting quality services. As Consumer Month wraps up, the LTA vows to continue engaging with consumers and stakeholders.

    The event demonstrated the power of dialogue in driving change and improving services for Liberian consumers.

    The LTA’s Consumer Month is crucial for promoting consumer rights and awareness in Liberia’s telecom sector.

    The activities help to educates consumers about their rights, services, and how to address grievances, provides a platform for consumers to voice concerns, helping MNOs improve services, it also help in promoting transparency, encourages MNOs to be transparent about services, tariffs, and policies. As well reinforces LTA’s commitment to consumer protection and regulation, highlighting the importance of digital access, like expanding Starlink kits to private schools.

    By engaging consumers, the LTA fosters a culture of accountability and quality service in Liberia’s telecom sector
