Barclayville City, Grand Kru County |Feb.1, 2026 | A three-year-old child earlier reported missing in Barclayville has been found alive.

According to a police report, on Friday, January 30, 2026, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Ms. Cecelia M. Darloh, 26, of the Grebo Tribe, a resident of Camp 3, Barclayville City, and Assistant Coordinator for Service Center Grand Kru, Liberia, reported that her son, Sebastian C. Geekor, age three, had gone missing.

Ms. Darloh stated that her brother, Patrick Wallor, took the child to his daycare school earlier in the day. However, the school administration later announced that classes would close earlier than the normal time and advised parents and guardians to pick up their children on or before 2:00 p.m.

According to the child’s mother, she sent the same person who took the child to school to pick him up around 2:00 p.m. Upon arrival at the school campus, he was informed that the child could not be found.

The matter was immediately reported to the Barclayville City Police Station and recorded in the police occurrence book, after which a search was launched.

Authorities have since confirmed that the child has been found alive. Further details surrounding the circumstances are expected as investigations continue.
