    NEC BoC Leads Development Partners on Tour of Headquarters Renovation

    Monrovia, Liberia |March 12, 2026|The Board of Commissioners (BoC) of the National Elections Commission of Liberia (NEC-Liberia) will today, Thursday, 12 March 2026, lead partners of the Liberia Electoral Support Project (LESP), the United Nations Resident Coordinator (UNRC), Heads of UN Agencies, the European Union, and other international and regional ambassadors on a guided tour of the ongoing renovation works at the Commission’s Headquarters on 9th Street, Sinkor, Monrovia.

    The Government of Liberia will be represented by the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, the Ministry of Justice, and the General Services Agency (GSA).

    The tour will commence at 2:00 p.m., with senior staff of the NEC Secretariat in attendance.

    The event will also be broadcast live on the NEC Facebook page, while members of the media have been invited to cover the activity.

    Meanwhile, the NEC will hold a two-part Secretariat Retreat from 13–14 March 2026 in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, under the theme:

    ‘Empowering Leadership for Collective Success through Accountability and Transparency.’

    The first one-day retreat will take place tomorrow, Friday, 13 March 2026, for senior staff of the NEC Secretariat including Directors of various sections.

    The session aims to strengthen leadership, collaboration, integrity, and accountability in support of Liberia’s electoral process.

    On Saturday, 14 March 2026, a similar retreat will be held for staff of the Commissioners’ Offices, including Special Assistants, Administrative Assistants, and Secretaries, with emphasis on the effective management of the Board of Commissioners’ offices.

    Participants will engage in team-building exercises and expert-led sessions on ethical leadership, conflict resolution, effective supervision, financial sustainability, communication, and respect for the chain of command.

     According to a NEC release signed by its Director of Communications, the retreat aims to strengthen communication, clarify roles, promote collective responsibility, and reinforce NEC’s core values: Independence, Professionalism, Inclusivity, Accountability, Transparency, Integrity, and Impartiality.
