River Gee County | March 24, 2026 | The River Gee Tubman University Students Association RIGTUSA, has unveiled a comprehensive three-day youth development and academic initiative set to take place from March 26 to 28, 2026.

The program aims to inspire academic excellence while addressing pressing social challenges affecting young people across the county.

According to RIGTUSA President, Isaiah Tee Sneh the program is designed to rekindle students’ commitment to education and raise awareness about the growing concern of drug abuse among youth.

He said the program seeks not only to improve academic performance but also to equip students with the knowledge needed to make responsible life choices.

“The initiative is about reviving the academic drive of our students while also educating them on the serious dangers of substance abuse,” Sneh stated.

The event will feature a series of engaging and impactful activities, including drug awareness campaign and an inter-high school quiz competition.

These activities are expected to bring together students from various schools across River Gee County, fostering intellectual engagement, healthy competition, and personal development.

Organizers highlighted that combating drug abuse remains a central focus of the initiative.

They stressed that early education and awareness are critical in protecting young people from the harmful effects of substance use and in promoting a culture of discipline and responsibility.

RIGTUSA has called on community leaders, educators, parents, and stakeholders to support and actively participate in the program.

The association reaffirmed its dedication to youth empowerment, noting that such initiatives are essential for nurturing informed, confident, and productive citizens.

“With strong community support, we can build a brighter future for our youth, one grounded in education, awareness, and positive values,” RIGTUSA president, concluded.
