    Two Officials of the NARBFUL Term President Boakai’s Executive Order on Rubber As Counterproductive

    Gbarnga City, Bong County |Jan. 9, 2026|Two officials of the National Rubber Brokers and Farmers Union of Liberia (NARBFUL) have expressed disenchantment in the Government of Liberia for issuing Executive Order#151 without doing what it promised them.

    According to two members of the Union the Executive Order #151, issued by President Boakai on rubber has caused serious problem for them in the country. They called on the government to repeal the Executive Orders and policies made without the consent the most affected and in the instant case, they the small holder farmers.

    Andous Jackson Kupee the National Vice President for Operation and Bong County focus person Amos Toe disclosed that, the Executive Order by the President has created lot of harm for them, especially when it comes to buying price and restricting them to sell their products to one company.

    The Union officials then added, “You cannot make laws to govern people without their participation,” they said.

    The two officials however said the Union was founded to advocate for rubber farmers when it comes to adding value to theirs product, especially small holder farmers across the country.

    They however expressed disenchantment in the Executive Order on grounds that the government promised to create job opportunity for rubber farmers across the nation; something they said the government is yet to do, but keep imposing executive order on them.

    The two leaders Union leaders want for the government of President Boakai to see reason and annul the Executive Order issued by President Joseph N Boakai.

    They however alleged the Agriculture Minister for misleading the president to place executive order on the processing of rubber in Liberia and want him to resign for betraying their hope. They also alleged that the Agriculture Minister has refused to listen to their cry as farmers.

    The two duo however encouraged their members to keep focus as the leadership continues to push for the betterment of the Union in making sure that rubber farmers’ interest is protected. They told Rural Reporter News Network on January 9, 2026 in Bong County that rubber farmers are not satisfied relative to the President’s Executive Order but nevertheless encouraged all of their members to do their registration in becoming full fledge bonafide members of the Union.
