    10th Judicial Circuit Court Opens for the February Term of Court with 10 Criminal Cases and 17 Civil Cases on the Docket…

    Loa County, Voinjama City- February 11, 2025-The tenth Judicial Circuit Court in Lofa County on Monday February 10, 2025 officially opened for its February terms cum operations.

    During the Court opening ceremony, authorities from the Court called on citizens in Lofa to wait for the rule of laws in Liberia.

    Delivering her formal opening charge in Court, Lofa County Assigned Circuit Judge Her Honor Ma Nancy Finda Sammy said Lofa citizens and Liberians should respect the rules of Law.

    A senior member of the Lofa County Bar in makes Special Remarks during the Opening ceremony of the February term of court at edifice of the 10th Judicial Circuit Court in Voinjama City, Lofa Co.

    In addition, Judge Sammy called on citizens to come to court to follow-up on cases that we brought before the court for adjudication. Furthermore, Judge Nancy Finda Sammy disclosed that  there are several cases on the court’s docket, at such there is the need to hear from people who brought those cases,adding,”Complainants should come to the court for hearing”.

    Resident Circuit judge her Honor Nancy Finda Sammy also used the occasion to call on all newly inducted lawyers to come back home and serve the County.

    Public officers and members of the public as well as lawyers who graced the auspicious occasion captured by our reporter.

    Meanwhile, the below lawyers have been formally admitted into the Lofa County Bar Association by Judge at the Tenth Judicial Circuit Court, Her Honor Nancy Finda Sammy. Those admitted are: Andrew Tellewoyan, Brahms Dorko, Charles Asumana, Sr., and Suzanne A. Johnson. Others are Yarkpawolo Z. Lawuobah sumo, Frederick K. Tulay, III, Ansu V. S. Dulleh, Malaya Tamba Chieyoe, Ndorleh Jallah and Wilfred K. Selmah, Jr.-all of who now bear the title of Attorney-at-Law.

    It is worth mentioning that the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Lofa County exercises original jurisdiction over all cases as to which no other court has, including jurisdiction in Admiralty. The Circuit Court also has jurisdiction to hear appeals from administrative determinations of government agencies and officials in accordance with statutes that provide appeals and from decisions of courts-not-of-record (magisterial) made within the county in which it sits.
