Barclayville City -Grand Kru County, Grand Kru County Administrative Officer, Alphonso Teah, has threatened to file a lawsuit against the county’s Police Commander, Clement Barlatt, for what he describes as “Defamation of Character and Damages.”

The confrontation between the two officials intensified after they both appeared on several radio stations within the county, publicly trading accusations following a complaint filed by residents of Dougbo Community.

The residents of Dougbo recently reported Commander Barlatt for allegedly removing a forty-foot container belonging to the community without authorization.

According to Officer Teah, the dispute escalated when Commander Barlatt allegedly accused him of selling a government-owned vehicle.

“The Police Commander went on the radio and told the public that I sold a vehicle belonging to the government. That is completely false, misleading, and damaging to my hard-earned reputation,” Teah asserted.

He is demanding that Commander Barlatt publicly retract the allegations and provide clear information on the same media platforms where the claims were made.

“I am calling on Commander Barlatt to clarify on the airwaves that all accusations he made against me are untrue. If he fails to do so, I will take the matter to court,” Teah warned.

The Administrative Officer further alleged that Commander Barlatt had also accused him of selling a police-owned vehicle, a forty-foot container, and scrap materials—claims Teah described as baseless.

“At no time have I ever sold a government vehicle or any government property. The commander made these allegations without a shred of evidence,” he stressed.

The Grand Kru Administrative Officer emphasized that he remains committed to serving the county with integrity and will not allow what he called “character attacks” to go unchecked.

The Grand Kru County Administrative Officer made the remarks during an exclusive interview with this station in Barclayville.
