A New Era for Healthcare: Ziah Town Celebrates First Nursing Graduates

‎First-Ever Nursing Assistant Graduation in Konobo District

‎Ziah Town |Friday, Dec. 19, 2025 | History was made Wednesday as the Konobo Comprehensive Health Center celebrated its inaugural Nursing Assistant Program Commencement. In a vibrant ceremony that brought together community leaders, families, and health officials, twelve dedicated graduates were honored for completing a rigorous journey into the medical field.

‎The program originally launched with 50 students, but after months of intensive clinical and classroom training, 12 emerged to receive their credentials.

‎Among them was Florence Gaye, who received special recognition for her transformative journey. Previously unemployed, Gaye’s success is being hailed as a testament to the life-changing power of local vocational training.

‎Keynote Address: “The Intersection of Science and Humanity”

‎The guest speaker delivered a stirring address to the new healthcare professionals, focusing on the dual nature of their new roles.

‎”Your role as nursing assistants places you at the intersection of science and humanity,” the speaker noted. “In this profession, empathy and responsibility matter just as much as your clinical skills. You have proven your resilience and discipline; now, you must carry that self-belief into the wards.”

‎Superintendent Calls for Growth and Fair Pay

‎Konobo District Superintendent, Mr. Moses Cheawulu, was in attendance to offer his support. In his remarks, he urged the graduates not to view this as their final destination but as a stepping stone.

‎Mr. Cheawulu’s three-point charge to the graduates:

‎ * Continued Education: Aspire to become registered nurses and doctors.

‎ * Advocacy: Stand up for better integration of clinical staff within the national system.

‎ * Fair Compensation: Work toward a future where healthcare workers receive the pay and recognition they deserve.

‎The ceremony concluded with a wave of gratitude for the families, instructors, and partner organizations that funded and facilitated the program. Organizers noted that this graduation is more than just a ceremony; it is a vital boost to the local healthcare infrastructure in Ziah Town.
