    Grand Kru County, Barclayville City-January 04,2025- Superintendent Antoinette Wowlee Nimely has launched a campaign aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of harmful substances, in a bold move to combat the rising tide of substance abuse and its detrimental impacts on communities.

    The Grand Kru County Superintendent statement seeks to mobilize women across the county, urging them to take an active role in safeguarding the future of their children.

    Speaking at recent unveiling 5.5kva generator ceremony in Barclayville attended by community leaders, educators, and local residents, Superintendent Nimely highlighted the alarming statistics surrounding substance abuse, particularly among the youth, emphasizing that these challenges pose significant threats not only to individual health but also to the broader fabric of society.

    “With every sip of alcohol or puff of illicit drugs, we place our children’s future at risk,” Nimely stated passionately. “As mothers, sisters, and guardians, we hold a powerful position in shaping the next generation. It is our responsibility to guide our children away from harmful habits and move them toward a brighter as well as healthier future.”

    According to her, the campaign would include series of workshops, educational programs, and community outreach efforts designed to inform residents about the risks associated with drug use and to promote healthy lifestyle choices.

    Madam Nimely has called on women in Grand Kru County to harness their influence and advocate for their children, stressing that meaningful change begins at home.

    “Let us teach our children the importance of making wise choices,” she urged. “Together, we can create an environment where they feel supported and empowered to resist negative influences.”

    Superintendent Wowlee-Nimely believes that a holistic approach is essential to creating lasting change and improving the overall well-being of the next generation.

    She therefore emphasized the need for unity in the fight against substance abuse and believes that with collective effort, Grand Kru County can overcome these challenges.

    Superintendent Antoinette Wowlee Nimely’s campaign against harmful substances is a significant step towards protecting the youth of the county.

    According to her, by rallying the community, particularly women in the County, to prioritize their children’s futures, the County administration is laying the groundwork for a healthier and more hopeful tomorrow.
