    Kolahun Gets First Modern Gas Station Since the End of the Civil War

    Kolahun District, Lofa County—Kolahun District is about to get its first modern gas station since the end of the civil war. This worthy initiative is spearheaded by Senator Joseph K. Jallah. The development has generated excitement among residents of Lower Lofa County. The ambitious project is expected to officially open before the end of January 2025, according to Mohammed Jalloh, the designated focus person for the initiative.

    In an interview, Jalloh emphasized the significance of the gas station, noting that it is the only facility of its kind in Lower Lofa County. “This project is part of Senator Jallah’s commitment to enhancing the living standards of our constituents,” he stated. He said the senator aims is to provide essential services that will not only meet local fuel needs but will also help stabilize prices for residents of the area.

    Once operational, the gas station is poised to serve several key locations in the region, including Foya, Vahun, Lukambeh, Wanhassa, and Kolahun Districts. Mohammed Jalloh highlighted the importance of this project in alleviating transportation challenges and reducing fuel costs for the local population. “We are expecting this facility to drive down fuel prices and improve accessibility for everyone in these districts and beyond,” he added.

    Residents of Lower Lofa County have expressed their gratitude for the upcoming gas station, praising Senator Jallah for his proactive approach to community development. Many eagerly anticipate its opening, viewing it as a pivotal moment for local economic growth. In separate interviews, citizens acknowledged not only the senator’s efforts but also commended Jalloh for his dedication and management of the project.

    The completion of this gas station is not only a step forward for Lower Lofa County but also a reflection of the citizens of Kolahun District to fulfil the needs and expectations of their people. As anticipation builds, the community looks forward to reaping the benefits of local fuel access and lower prices in the near future.

    Meanwhile, residents of Kolahun are calling on other well-meaning residents of the district to engage in similar venture aimed at alleviating poverty and bringing the district to its prewar status.
