    River Gee Chapter of NALSP Elects New Leadership

    River Gee County – April 8, 2025 – The River Gee Chapter of the National Association of Liberia School Principals has elected its new leadership with a promise to collaborate in fulfilling the agenda of the association.

    The election which was held last weekend brought together over 20 school principals across River Gee and was described free, fair and transparent by the participants.

    Those elected are: Amos Chea – President, Principal of the Gbeapo Multilateral High School, Mariah Walker – Secretary General, Principal of the Webbo High School, Paul Wallace – Financial Secretary, Principal of the Tom Wah Junior High, while Theresa Chea, Principal of the Fish Town Community School was elected as Treasurer. The new leadership will lead the River Gee school principals association for two years.

    In his appreciation statement after his election, president-elect, Amos Chea vowed to promote and enhance professionalism in his leadership. He added that they have embarked on a new journey of togetherness, therefore, as a team; they should seek to support one another for a successful leadership.

    Principal, as head of a school, is responsible to create a positive learning environment, managing staff and resources, and ensuring the school’s academic success and overall well-being.

    According to the Ministry of Education’s school census conducted 2022, River Gee County had approximately 23,000 students. Of these numbers, about 19,000 students attended public schools, which were being served by 711 teachers in 103 and 472 classrooms across River Gee County.

    The process was witnessed under the watchful eyes of River Gee resident DEO and Acting County Education Officer, Luigi Gray, who also urged elected officials to be proactive and perform diligently.
