Grand Gedeh County – May 16, 2025 – The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Grand Gedeh County health team, has opened a new 14-bed clinic to enhance healthcare delivery in various parts of the County.

The official inauguration took place during the week. Located in Glio Tarloken within the Konobo District, this modern clinic was established to serve a remote community. The project was financed by the Grand Gedeh County Development Fund (CDF) under the leadership of Superintendent Alex Chersiah Grant.

The Glio Tarloken clinic aims to provide essential healthcare services to numerous towns and villages in Konobo District, including Bao Town, Glo-Tetee, Galio, Youh Town, and Tempo, among others.

Dedication ceremony of Glio Tarloken Clinic by the Assistant Minister of Health for County Health Services-Hon. Lauren Cooper(Green) and County Health Officer Mr. Daanue Zwuogbe (Gray) and other residents look-on.

Residents expressed their appreciation to the government and the county health team for alleviating their struggles, which often involved navigating poor road conditions on motorbikes or walking long distances with sick family members, especially women in labor.

The clinic’s dedication ceremony was led by Madam Lauren Cooper, the Assistant Minister for County Health Services, along with Grand Gedeh County health officer Daanue Zwuogbe.

The event was attended by senior local government officials, including County Administration Officer Henry Zonweay, County Development Officer Davidson Barlee, County Health Services Administrator Isaac Zulu, and representatives from local communities and development partners.
