    His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Teeko Tozay Yorlay, Sr. today presents a clean copy of his Letter of Credence to Madam Fernanda Coelho, Deputy Secretary-General at the Portuguese Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

    Lisbon, Portugal- Friday, 23 May 2025- At 10:30am Portuguese time, His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Teeko Tozay Yorlay, Sr. today met with Madam Fernanda Coelho, Deputy Secretary-General at the Portuguese Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and presented a clean copy of my letters of credence to her.

    Ambassador Yorlay used the occasion to outline Liberia’s current urgent priorities under our policy wrapped in Economic and Development Diplomacy.

    Following said presentation, Ambassador Yorlay also met with Mr. Francisco Vaz Patto, Chief of State Protocol, who outlined the protocols surrounding the ceremonies marking the presentation of one’s letters of credence to the President of the Portuguese Republic.

    Ambassador Yorlay also meets and shakes hands with Mr. Francisco Vaz Patto, Chief of State Protocol.

    According to a dispatch and a copy of which is in the possession of Rural Reporters News Network, on Monday, 26 May 2025, Ambassador Yorlay will have the honor to present his letters of credence to His Excellency Marcelo Nuno Duarte Rebelo de Sousa, President of the Portuguese Republic, as Liberia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, at which time he is expected to convey to His Excellency the Portuguese President and his government a special message from His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., President of the Republic of Liberia.

    The dispatch concluded that since Ambassador Yorlay arrival on yesterday, May 22, 2025 in Portugal, everything has proceeded as anticipated and expected; thus all has been going well.
