    Through White Ballot, RIGTUSA Ushers in New Leadership at Tubman University

    Maryland County |April 27, 2026 | The River Gee Tubman University Student Association – RIGTUSA, has installed a new team of leaders following a smooth and unanimous election conducted on Wednesday, April 23, 2026, at Tubman University.

    According to an official statement released by the Independent Election Committee – IEC, all candidates were elected via a white ballot, having run unopposed.

    The outcome reflects a strong sense of unity, trust, and collective confidence among River Gee students on the campus.

    The statement, signed by IEC Secretary General Theresa Gaysue and endorsed by Chairman Nyepah Kelvin, described the electoral process as peaceful, transparent, and credible.

    Elected to serve in key leadership roles are Thomas T. Sayon as President, Josiah C. Cheapoo as Vice President, and Paul Essen Dweh as General Secretary.

    Others are; Grace K. Potee as Assistant Secretary, Jewel N. Davis, Financial Secretary, and Fralana T. Wesseh as Treasurer.

    On behalf of the IEC, Madam Gaysue congratulated the incoming leadership and commended the student body for maintaining discipline and order throughout the election period.

    Chairman Kelvin, in his remarks, emphasized that the white ballot victory demonstrates a high level of unity and mutual trust among members of the River Gee student community at Tubman University.

    The newly elected officials will assumed office next semester in September of this year with immediate effect.

    They are expected to serve a one-year term, during which they will advocate for the interests of River Gee students and oversee academic, social, and developmental activities on campus.

    The development marks a notable moment of cohesion and continuity in student governance at Tubman University, reinforcing a shared commitment to progress and collaboration among students.
