‎Wulu Town, Grand Gedeh |Feb. 24, 2026| A multi-million dollar construction project intended to serve as the Wulu Town Chiefdom Compound in the District remains a skeleton of concrete and wasted potential, nearly two decades after its inception.

‎The project, which began during the administration of former Superintendent Hon. Peter Solo (circa 2008), was designed to be a centerpiece of local governance. However, despite significant budgetary allocations over the years, the site has been reclaimed by bushes rather than officials.

‎The project has been stalled for approximately 18 years, spanning multiple administrations.

‎Local residents express frustration over the “thousands of dollars” reportedly spent on the structure with no visible progress toward completion.

‎The lack of a functional compound forces local leaders to operate without a formal administrative hub, hindering local development and judicial matters.

‎Residents are now calling on the current county leadership and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to conduct a full audit of the project and prioritize its completion to ensure that taxpayers’ money does not vanish into overgrowth.
