Jackson Wolobah Donates 285 Pairs of Rubber Slippers to Residents of Zorzor Communities

Zorzor City, Lofa County—Thursday, September 25, 2025-In a moving act of generosity and community solidarity, Assistant Labor Minister for Statistics and Research, Jackson Wolobah, has donated 285 pairs of rubber slippers to scores of residents in Zorzor District.

During a visit back home recently, Minister Wolobah—fresh from a trip to South Korea joined the celebration of the traditional festival in his ancestral town of Zelemai. He used the occasion to donate rubber slippers to some of the district’s most vulnerable residents.

Minister Wolobah made the presentation at the graduation ceremony of a Sande School in Zelemai. Beneficiaries include, health workers, the disabled, children, and other vulnerable groups across Zorzor. Below is the breakdown of the donation:

105 pairs for the Zorzor District Health Team, 60 pairs for disabled and vulnerable residents in Zulor Town, 60 pairs for children in Wakesu Town, and 60 pairs for children in Borkeza Town.

“This is our way of giving back to the people who have supported us and made it possible for us to stand where we are today,” Wolobah said passionately.

He further encouraged local health workers to reach out to his office whenever support is needed, pledging continued dedication to Zorzor and Salayea Districts.

“I owe much to Zorzor and Salayea. It’s their grace and blessings that have elevated me to where I am now,” he added with humility.

The donation was warmly received by James P.G. Lavela, Nursing Services Director at Curran Lutheran Hospital, and T. Michael Youdee, Zorzor District Health Officer, who both praised Wolobah for his commitment to community upliftment.

For many residents, the slippers were more than just footwear—they were a symbol of care, recognition, and the promise of leadership that remains connected to the grassroots.
