Gbarnga City, Bong County| Friday, Dec. 12, 2025| A broadcast journalist with much empathy, as launched an appeal to the public to kindly support a 7th Grade student, Miss. Alice Kollie, return to school.
Student Kollie has been out of school since Monday, while her classmates are currently writing their Second Period tests. The school has been very patient with her since the academic year began, but her tuition and fees still remained unpaid according to Journalist Joseph Titus Yekeryan.
He narrated that little Alice was previously supported through them by a well-meaning business individual, Alpha but has since seized his support as a result of financial challenges being experienced by him.

Journalist Yekeryan recounted that little Alice Kollie mother is physically challenged; she is wheel chaired and hardly have the means of paying her daughter’s fees.
According to information, in 2010, after doctors realized that little Alice Kollie mother could not safely birthed a child on her own and went ahead to ensure that she underwent a Cesarean Section (C-Section) to deliver Alice.
Unfortunately, complications from that surgery left her unable to walk, and she has relied on a wheelchair ever since then.
Despite this, she continues to do her best for her daughter, when it comes to realizing he dreams.
According to Journalist Joseph Titus Yekeryan, student Alice’s school fees for now amounts to LD$10,000.00. He is therefore appealing to the general public, especially, individual with a willing heart to please help the young girl stay in school.
He mentioned that helping little Alice Kollie to realize her dream is something important right now and thereby called on goodwill individuals and well-meaning citizens who are in the capacity to aid the girl continue her education.
The issues of children been out of school in the rural area is becoming alarming on the daily basis, due to the lack sponsorship; which is making some of the school going kids to drop and engage in other activities that border on survival for most struggling families.
Journalist Yekeryan said if the country is to develop through human capacity building, school-going kids are to be catered to acceptably; especially those children that are in need, some of whom parent can’t afford.
“Let us join hands to help Alice continue her education. No amount is too small,” Journalist Joseph Titus Yekeryan admonished.
