    Bridging the Digital Divide: Starlink Donation Brings Internet Access to Rural Liberia

    Monrovia, Liberia-Monday, October 13, 2025 – In a significant step towards bridging the digital divide in Liberia’s rural areas, Commissioner Patrick Honnah of the Liberia Telecommunications Authority has donated Starlink kits to the Vahun Health Center and local youth and students in Vahun District, Lofa County.

    This initiative posted on the LTA Facebook page Monday, October 13, 2025 aims to provide faster and more reliable internet access to remote communities, enhancing opportunities for learning, healthcare, and economic development.

    According to the statement, the donation of Starlink kits will enable residents to access vital information, connect with the global community, and leverage opportunities for growth and development.

    The Vahun Health Center, now equipped with Starlink internet, will be able to access critical medical information, communicate with other healthcare professionals, and provide better services to the community.

    Students and youth in the area will also benefit from improved internet access, enabling them to conduct research, access online educational resources, and enhance their skills.

    Commissioner Patrick Honnah’s donation is part of his ongoing efforts to improve the lives of residents in Vahun District. This initiative demonstrates his commitment to leveraging technology to drive development and improve access to essential services in rural areas.

    The Starlink donation is a significant step towards digital inclusion in Liberia, providing opportunities for remote communities to connect with the world and access vital information.

    As Liberia continues to work towards improving its digital infrastructure, initiatives like this will play a crucial role in bridging the digital divide and promoting socio-economic development
