    Cocoa Farmers Increase Production As They Call on National Government to Provide Agreeable Buying System

    Voinjama City, Lofa County-Wednesday, August 20, 2025-Local Cocoa farmers in Lofa County increase Cocoa production as farmers call for Government of Liberia to provide a good market  buying system.

    Enterprises in the business of agriculture particularly Cocoa production are calling on the Government of Liberia to make the market positive and reasonable for cocoa sellers to benefit.

    There has been a huge production of Cocoa in Lofa.

    The Rural Reporters News Network met with one of the enterprises “Bombo Enterprises Inc.”  based in Bobo Village, Voinjama District during the ongoing harvest of the Cocoa farm, said  the current cocoa being harvested were planted to produce during the period of three (3) years and that’s the reason why the present harvest is underway as they have now matured and ripe.

    The farm manager at Bombo Enterprises Incorporated, Jerry Sakama said the enterprise is producing huge and high quality of Cocoa and supplying the Liberian consumers.

    “We at Bombo Enterprises Incorporated are also providing opportunity for cocoa farmers to purchase the unfinished products for future mass production, and we are also into animal husbandry such as animal rearing and also aquaculture cum fish production,” Jerry Sakama said in an interview.
