River Gee County – Sept. 11, 2025 – In a major enhancement to local healthcare services, the River Gee County Health Team has been gifted a generous donation of 67 hospital beds and 32 mattresses, valued at $25,000.

The donation aims to improve patient care facilities and provide more comfortable accommodations for those needing medical attention.

The presentation ceremony, held at the River Gee County Health Team compound, brought together county local officials, healthcare workers, and community members who gathered to witness the valuable contribution to the county’s health infrastructure.

During the event, Representative Isaac Boy Choloplay Wuo of Electoral District 2, of River Gee County stated that the donation is part of fulfilling his campaign promises.

He revealed that the total donation comprises 100 beds and 100 mattresses, with the remaining items to be delivered in subsequent trips due to limited transportation capacity.

Addressing the critical need for adequate healthcare resources, Representative Wuo emphasized the importance of providing a comfortable and secure environment for patients to recover. “Every patient deserves a comfortable and safe space for recuperation. This donation is a significant step toward fulfilling that commitment,” he said.

The provision of these new beds and mattresses is expected to alleviate the pressure on local healthcare facilities, which have been struggling to meet patient needs due to resource constraints.

With the addition of these essential items, the River Gee County Health Team will be better equipped to deliver vital medical services and improve the overall quality of care for residents in the region.

Dr. Pauline Weah Mehdeh, head of the River Gee County Health Team, expressed her gratitude for the donation, highlighting its positive impact on patient comfort and recovery, especially in an area where healthcare resources are often limited.

Dr. Mehdeh also confirmed that all 20 health facilities in River Gee County will benefit from the beds and mattresses provided by Representative Wuo.

Meanwhile, community leaders and residents have praised the initiative, recognizing its positive influence on local healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.

In addition to this donation, Representative Wuo is set to initiate the construction of a market hall in Fish-Town, as well as a community youth and town hall, demonstrating his commitment to supporting various community needs.

As River Gee County continues to tackle healthcare challenges, the donation represents a commendable effort to enhance the quality of care and promote the well-being of the community.

With sustained support and similar initiatives, River Gee County is making strides toward a healthier future where every resident has access to essential medical resources.
