    DMG Foundation Launches Women Protection Summit, Empowering Over 100 Female Leaders in Liberia

    Monrovia, Liberia- Tuesday, May 27, 2025- In a ground breaking stride towards gender equality and women’s empowerment, the Deesire Moore Grace Foundation (DMGF), has successfully launched for the first time the “Protect Women Summit”, aimed at protecting, equipping and empowering young ladies in leadership development through skills training.

    Held under the theme, “Liberia Woman: Voices of Resistance & Transformation,” the summit was not just a gathering, but a rallying call to action. It served as a platform for dialogue, empowerment, and strategic networking among women determined to reshape their communities, their livelihood and society at large.

    Speaking at the summit opening session on Friday, May 23, 2025; Amb. Stephen Varkpor, Country Director of Deesire Moore Grace Foundation said the summit is one of many initiatives birthed from the foundation CEO long-standing commitment to advocacy, mental health, drug abuse prevention, and gender equality.

    “With deep roots in both the United States and Africa, Miss Moore has been actively engaged in humanitarian and advocacy work since 2003, formally legalizing the Foundation as an NGO to scale impact across continents,” he noted.

    According to Amb Stephen Varkpor, The Deesire Moore Grace Foundation vision for DMGF remains unbending, emphasizing that the fight for gender equality must include collective, informed, and courageous participation from women at all levels from national platforms to global arenas.

    He highlighted the need for self-engaged female leadership as an indispensable force in the journey toward a more just, equitable, and developed society

    Held at the Jewel Starfish Foundation Conference Hall in Congo town, the historic event brought together over 100 established young and growing female leaders from across Liberia, providing them with intensive training and certification across key areas vital to their personal growth and national contribution.

    The summit offered participants a rich learning experience facilitated by reputable professionals across key thematic areas like Personal Development, Business and Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Advocacy among others.

    The summit also featured a keynote address by passionate youth leader Alphai Faith Kemokai, who encouraged female participants to actively participate in decision-making processes and take up space in all spheres of life. Her message resonated deeply with attendees, stirring determination and unity among the women present.

    The more than hundred established young and growing female leaders from across the country participate in “Protect Women Summit”.

    A total of 112 female leaders and aspiring changemakers were officially certificated at the end of the summit — a symbolic and practical milestone that recognizes their readiness to lead, influence, and inspire on a free of charge basis.

    The Deesire Moore Grace Foundation with headquartered in Congo town Monrovia, is not just a humanitarian and charitable organization. It is a psychosocial, media consultancy, and advocacy powerhouse with a vision of a world where equal rights, education, health, economic opportunities, and justice are accessible to all—especially women and youth.

    The Foundation invites stakeholders, donors, partners, and allies to join its mission to build a developmentally progressive society where women are equipped, empowered, and unstoppable.
