A devastating fire incident in the Tienpo Statutory district of River Gee County has resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left three others seriously injured on Independence Day, July 26, 2025,
The fire broke out at noon in the residence of 33-year-old Perry Daniels in Narka Village, reportedly ignited by a gas explosion.
Witnesses stated that Daniels was smoking when he allegedly discarded a lit cigarette near a container of gasoline kept inside the house, leading to the explosion and subsequent flames engulfing the structure.
Tragically, two young girls, Perryline and Lucy Perry, who were present during the incident, lost their lives in the fire.
Despite the hastened attempts by local residents and emergency responders to control the blaze, the damage was extensive, resulting in the deaths of the two girls and injuries to three others, whose identities remain unknown.
The injured individuals are currently hospitalized, while local officials have initiated an investigation into the events leading up to this tragic incident.
The burial of the two minors has raised concerns among residents, many of whom believe the decision was made too hastily.
