The first post-war modern gas station has been inaugurated in Kolba City, Kolahun District. The dedication took place on Monday, October 20, 2025 with scores of residents and top community officials in attendance.

The name of the patrol station is Ma Saybah Gas Station. Lofa County Senator, Joseph K. Jallah is the owner of the gas station who claimed the gas station is intended to support the people of Lower Lofa County who have longed craved for such vital facility.

The manager, Mohammed Hady Jalloh disclosed that currently there are about 13,000 gallons of gasoline available at the gas station. Jalloh assured residents of Lower Lofa County of a smooth and efficient operation. He emphasized that the facility is geared towards meeting the petroleum needs of the local community.

The Manager of the Ma Saybah Gas Station expressed confidence that the prices of fuel/gasoline will be reasonable, noting that the establishment was not just intended for profit-making venture but service to the people.

“If Senator Jallah wanted to build it for profit, he could have easily chosen a location in Monrovia”, Jalloh said.

In furtherance, Jalloh encouraged residents to take full advantage of the new gas station, adding, the more you buy from us, the more we are encouraged to provide additional services and supplies.

The opening event attracted a significant turnout of community residents who termed the initiative as a gamer changer in the business arena of Kolahun District and its environs.

With the introduction of the Ma Saybah Gas Station, residents of Lower Lofa County can look forward to greater accessibility to petroleum products which in return fosters local development and enhances the quality of life in the region.

The establishment of the gas station open a new chapter for business people and road travelers mainly commercial vehicles and motorbikes who previously struggled to obtain gasoline for their movement objects.
