Gbarpolu County Health Team Receives Ambulance from Former Representative Candidate

‎Gbarma Town, Gbarpolu County-Friday, October 16, 2025-In a heartwarming display of philanthropy, former Representative candidate for District #3, Gbarpolu County, Hon. Tom Taweh, has donated a brand-new ambulance to the Gbarpolu County Health Team.

‎The official handover ceremony took place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in Gbarma Town, marking a new chapter in the district’s healthcare delivery system.

‎”This ambulance represents more than just a vehicle; it symbolizes hope, love, and service to humanity,” Hon. Taweh said during the presentation ceremony.

‎He said, “My desire has always been to bring relief to my people and address one of the district’s most pressing challenges – the lack of emergency medical transportation.”

‎The donation is a fulfillment of a pledge made by Hon. Taweh during the 2023 General and Presidential Elections to support the county’s health sector.

‎The ambulance, which is the first-ever in the history of District #3, will greatly enhance the district’s ability to handle medical emergencies, especially in hard-to-reach communities.

‎”I want to assure the gathering that I will personally undertake the full maintenance and servicing of the ambulance, ensuring that it remains functional and ready to respond to emergencies at all times,” Hon. Taweh emphasized.

‎The district’s residents were overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. Boima Wants, youth Chairman said l, “This donation has restored hope and will remain a lasting reminder of Hon. Taweh’s commitment to the people of Gbarpolu County._

‎During the event, the Gbarma District Commissioner Musa D. Kamara extended the deepest gratitude to Hon. Taweh, stating that the ambulance is politics-free and has brought total relief to the people of District #3.

‎”This gesture demonstrates true leadership and compassion for his people,” the Commissioner added.

‎For his part, Mr. Bennie Clarke, Director for Community Health at the Gbarpolu County Health Team, appreciated Mr. Taweh for the huge donation, describing it as timely and impactful.

‎”The ambulance will greatly enhance our ability to handle medical emergencies, especially in hard-to-reach communities,” Mr. Clarke said. “We assure Hon. Taweh that the ambulance will be used for its intended purpose.

‎The president of the Gbarma District University Students Union also praised Hon. Taweh, describing him as a trusted ally to the students’ community. “We are grateful for your leadership and commitment to the development of our district,” the president said.

‎Several citizens similarly commended the former representative for keeping his promise and going beyond politics to serve humanity.

‎The head of the Marketing Association in Gbarpolu, Madam Daba Marshall said “This donation is a clear manifesto that our song, Tom Taweh’s love for his people did not end after the 2023 election,” she said. “He has shown us that he is a leader who cares about the welfare of his people.”
