‎Zwedru City, Grand Gedeh County |May 5, 2026|The leadership of the Grand Gedeh Youth Development Association (GGYDA) has issued a firm and direct invitation to its President, Hon. S. Marcus Jalarue, ordering him to appear before a conference panel to answer serious allegations of financial malpractice.

‎In a letter dated May 4, 2026, the association’s executives made it clear that the integrity of the institution is under threat following circulating reports and social media claims linking Jalarue to questionable financial dealings.

‎The leadership did not mince words, emphasizing that the allegations have already sparked widespread concern among youths and citizens across Grand Gedeh County, raising doubts about the credibility of the association.

‎Jalarue has been instructed to appear on May 6, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the GGYDA Youth Office in Zwedru to provide clarity on multiple accusations.

Composite of the Invitation letter and Hon. Albertine Siah, Vice President, GGYDA, who approved said communication citing the President to a conference on May 6, 2026 at the precise hour of 3:00 PM, GGYDA Youth Office.

‎Top among the concerns is a leaked audio recording that allegedly implicates the GGYDA President in financial misconduct. The association insists that he must directly address the recording to protect the institution’s reputation.

‎Additionally, the letter highlights a 200,000 Liberian Dollars cheque reportedly issued in Jalarue’s name. The executives are demanding full disclosure on the purpose of the cheque and the legitimacy of the transaction behind it.

‎The situation is further compounded by mobile money transactions reportedly involving Jalarue and the County Superintendent. The association is pressing for detailed explanations to determine whether these dealings align with principles of transparency and good governance.

‎Describing the matter as grave, the GGYDA leadership warned that accountability is non-negotiable and stressed the need for an immediate and transparent response.

‎“The integrity of this institution is paramount,” the letter emphasized, adding that leadership must be held to the highest standards at all times.

‎The communication, signed by Secretary General Larriton Quiah and approved by Vice President Hon. Albertine Siah, has also been copied to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, civil society organizations, and the media signaling that the matter is now under public scrutiny.

‎With pressure mounting, all eyes are now on Hon. Jalarue as the scheduled conference approaches, where he is expected to either clear his name or face deepening suspicion over the unfolding financial scandal.
