Bopolu City, Gbarpolu County| February 25, 2026 | Bopolu Central High School in Gbarpolu County has been experiencing chairs inadequacy for quite some time now; a situation that had begun to embarrass the administration of the public run institution.
Fortunately, this state of affairs changed on February 24, 2026, when the Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Education, donated 122 brand new arm chairs to the school.
The donation ceremony was held at the school yard, where students and faculty gathered to receive the much anticipated cum needed furniture.
Joseph J. Gening, a representative of the Minister’s office, officiated the ceremony, praising the school’s administration and students for their patience and dedication to learning despite challenges.
“The government is committed to improving the education sector and ensuring schools have necessary resources for quality education,” Gening indicated.
He encouraged students to take good care of the new chairs, a gift from the government to support their academic pursuits.
For his part, Vice Principal Augustine J. Momo expressed gratitude for the new chairs. He said that the brand new chairs will help to address the school’s seating issue, a major challenge hitherto for students and teachers.
Students were visibly excited, taking turns sitting on the new chairs and thanking national government for the generous donation.
The chairs have boosted the school’s morale, with students and teachers being optimistic about its positive impact on academic performance.
Over 350 students attending Bopolu Central High School this school year will benefit from the donation.
