Authorities of the Grand Gedeh Community College (GGCC) and members of the school’s Alumni Association met over the weekend, in a meeting aimed at fostering institutional growth at the (GGCC).
The high-level meeting took place between the leadership of the Grand Gedeh Community College Alumni Association and the GGCC President, Dr. Eric Z.M. Gbotoe, with the Alumni leadership making follow-up on previous engagements aimed at supporting the issues relating to the development of the institution.
The GGCC Alumni Association leadership used the occasion to reinforce cardinal proposals from them including the advocacy for university status, faculty support, and improved academic infrastructure.
Dr. Gbotoe commended the school’s Alumni Association for remaining engaged, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to collaboration, transparency, and progress.
Alumni Association President J. Moniayoung Gwion described the meeting as being opened, encouraging, and one that was focused on results.
He noted that the direct engagement with the GGCC’s president brought fresh energy to their shared vision for institutional growth.
Meanwhile, the Monrovia-based President of the Alumni Association of GGCC, Patience Baye Kromah, has donated an assortment of items to the GGCC.
The items turned over to the GGCC administration following deliberations at the weekend meeting include two cartoons of sheet, one white board, and two packs of marker.
The weekend meeting is being viewed by many, especially students, authorities of the GGCC, and members of the school’s Alumni Association, as a major milestone in strengthening Alumni-Administration relations, as well as moving the institution to being granted full university status, according to our correspondent in the area.
